SharePoint site is a website or container of information and data. In the modern experience, this is the “site collection”.
SharePoint sub-site refers to the site that you can create within a site. It’s still a site on its own (website or container of information and data). In general, sites and sub-sites can have one or more pages in them. Sub-sites are still technically sites - though they are contained under an existing site or site collection. Sites and sub-sites can yield very complex topology in SharePoint with deep nesting on multiple levels.

Enterprise Bridge supports all types of sites or sub-sites on all versions of SharePoint. When creating a new site SharePoint offers two modern types of sites: Team site and Communication site. However, many more types of sites are also available, such as Enterprise Wiki site, Documentation site and 30+ more types. Many of these types are viable alternatives to two default selections. You can always decide for the best type of site depending on priorities and requirements in your project.

Enterprise Bridge can distribute your content across all levels in an arbitrary hierarchy of your SharePoint sites and site collections according to requirements of your organization.
