Enterprise Bridge is not only data migration solution but also continuous integration environment for an entire organization. It is implied by its name “Bridge”. Enterprise Bridge is exactly bridging corporate environments, which can be used both for one time migration and for automatic synchronization of migrated content across an enterprise.
The process of synchronization relies on timestamps. If modification or creation time on a source system is newer than on the target, then respective item is updated on the target. Otherwise, the item is just skipped. This rule makes synchronization process highly quick and efficient.
For security reasons, synchronization process does not delete any content on target, even if this content has been deleted on the source system after original migration.
The entire process can be automated through elaborate scheduler and background synchronization service, which are an important part of Enterprise Bridge Server edition.
